We came into tonight with one objective: protect our home court and execute the game plan. We did exactly that, putting on an offensive clinic and delivering a suffocating defensive performance to defeat Washington Adventist 103-66. That’s a 37-point win. We hit triple digits. We’re now 10-1. This is the standard we’re building.
Game Summary: Relentless Effort, Explosive Offense, Suffocating Defense
This was a complete performance. We showed the ability to overcome early adversity, string together dominant runs, and maintain relentless pressure for all 40 minutes. Our offensive efficiency was outstanding, hitting multiple season-highs, but it was our commitment to the glass and our opportunistic defense that truly set the tone. We responded to every challenge, and we never let them breathe.
First Quarter: We Exploded Out of the Gate and Seized Control
We started this game with the energy and intent we demand. Darcie Anderson found Joy Kendrick for a three-pointer on the very first possession, setting the tone. Washington Adventist managed a small run to pull ahead, but we didn’t blink. Zaram Fredricks powered in a jumper to tie it, and a quick 8-0 run featuring an Anderson three-pointer and an Amy Thompson putback gave us the lead back at 18-16. From there, we dominated the offensive glass, and clutch threes from Peyton Mounce and Joy Kendrick pushed our advantage to 28-18 by the end of the quarter. This was a statement start.
